The 8th Doctor, Gemma and Samson (remember them - the companions no one knew about - even the Doctor - from Terror Firma) visit one of those alien planets which seems to be weird for the sake of being weird (the sort of environment Paul Leonard or Jim Mortimore would dream up back in the day). Got a bit of a feeling for the characters of Gemma and Samson and I would be happy to read more stuff with them in (the brother/sister relationship is a good angle not really explored on TV or audio). The first section is hugely disorientating and I was worried the collection was going to end on one of those experimental numbers I don't particularly like. Fortunately, the narrative settles down a bit after that and the story wasn't too bad.
