This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order. Previous Story: Hour of the Cybermen It's not often you get a story set in Iceland, that already makes this a unique experience. I really liked the vibes of this one, it was a lot smaller-stakes than some of the previous stories, focused entirely on a small-town mystery. Yrsa Kristjansdottir was a fun character, and she played off the Doctor particularly well. The Doctor was extra silly in this story, my preferred way for the Doctor to be written. I found the idea of the Hunter really interesting, especially the taking of cherished memories as trophies. I really liked the themes of corruption and conspiracy here and the way it followed a typical police procedural format. I do like that the ending is open-ended, it would be nice to see a story or two more with Yrsa. Next Story: The Marian Conspiracy Like Liked 2
