A very cool two-part series.

Filled with Douglas Adams' sharpness, which you can wholeheartedly laugh at, and one of Guy Adams' fortunes - an interesting, fun, captivating adventure, happening in... an intergalactic sanatorium. I'm not joking.

It starts hinting more and more at the titular Syndicate and making numerous references to "The Master Plan of the Daleks," which I've just started reading. But thankfully, the play explains everything itself, so there's no need to scratch your head in confusion.

And here begin the hints that there's more to Anne than meets the eye...

This review contains spoilers!

This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order.

Previous Story: The Enchantress of Numbers

It's annoying to review mediocre stories because I always have so little to say about them, atleast with bad stories there are plenty of things to talk about, this is just boring. There are some decent ideas but none of it is really very memorable.

I think Ann Kelso is a decent companion and I do like that her police training is a core part of her character, honestly this series is beginning to feel like she's the main character and the Doctor is just a side character. I don't particularly mind that as it's obviously a mystery-driven arc but I do wish the stories were atleast somewhat interesting.

I did like the guy who thought he was Mavic Chen but beyond that he didn't have much depth. I hope the second part is better.
