This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order. Previous Story: Castle of Fear The second part of the Stockbridge trilogy, I much prefer this one. I'm a sucker for timey-wimey stories that deal with paradoxes and time bubbles and stuff like that so this is a story right up my alley. The first three parts were astoundingly weird and mind-bending, it's an idea that's definitely not new to Doctor Who but it's done exceptionally in this story. Maxwell Edison is a great character, Mark Williams does a great job as him. His chemistry with the Doctor is great and I loved the cellotape gag. Peter Davison and Sarah Sutton get to show off their range while playing the ominous Lord and Lady of the Manor. They are noticeably different from their portrayal of the Doctor and Nyssa. I like that this story picks up on a plot thread in the last story in the form of Veridios, I can't say I was expecting it at all especially after it was shrugged off in the last story.
