Goodbye 10 part one

This story was alright. Its the first part to the tenth doctors final story and it sets up everything for part 2. The only downside to that is everything is saved for part 2 so it's very underwhelming and quite slow at times. Sure a slow story isn't that bad but part one doesn't have anything going for it here. Having the master back is nice since we saw him die in the series 3 finale. We are introduced to a new important character called Joshua Naismith. I don't really care for Joshua tbh which isn't good considering he's fairly important to this story. The ending was so good though. After 4 years of build up we finally have the time Lords coming back but that's not all because Gallifrey is making a return too (more on this in part 2). Overall good story but slightly let down by the fact it saves pretty much everything for part 2. 7/10

Quite literally one of the worst things I've ever watched.

This review contains spoilers!

easily my least favourite regeneration story, and robynanarchist's review summarised it way better than i ever could but i will go ahead and say that it established my least favourite part of nuwho and that's the demystification of rassilon. it would have cost them nothing to hire some 50smth year old as a new incarnation of flavia or romana or brax or any other influential time lord (or even just cast timothy dalton as borusa rather than rassilon!) but they didn't and now rassilon's been diluted to Just The President Or Whatever rather from basically god? idk it seems cheap and poorly though out

I like The End of Time – Part 1. It builds up tension really well (as I feel a first part of a two-parter should), leading to a solid cliffhanger. There are lots of great characters and lots of great scenes and moments. There's also a lot of really stupid and somewhat nonsensical stuff, but I didn't find it that hard to look past that.

WILF: You said your people could change, like, your whole body.

DOCTOR: I can still die. If I'm killed before regeneration, then I'm dead. Even then, even if I change, it feels like dying. Everything I am dies. Some new man goes sauntering away, and I'm dead.

(Cold Open)

NARRATOR [OC]: It is said that in the final days of planet Earth, everyone had bad dreams. To the west of the north of that world, the human race did gather, in the celebration of a pagan rite to banish the cold and the dark. Each and every one of those people had dreamt of the terrible things to come. But they forgot, because they must. They forgot their nightmares of fire and war and insanity. They forgot. Except for one.

[Street]

(Christmas time. Wilf hears an evil laugh in his head.)

MASTER [OC]: Bwahahahahahaha!
