I was pretty shocked to realise that I have most likely never laid my eyes on this story until now. Series 9 was the first DVD boxset that I did not buy (I have now rectified this) but this means 10 years later I have this beauty of a minisode (and a substantial one at that) to enjoy afresh.

Its a touching two-hander where The Doctor talks over several days medieval man who is portrayed with a touching and quiet dignity. Capaldi's grumpy shtick works well on this very earnest man.
