On the unsuspecting planet Birinji, the intelligent lifeforms live their happy lives, until the Kotturuh arrive…

This isn’t a bad place to start with the Time Lord Victorious series. It tells you more about the Kotturuh than possibly any part of the TLV I've enjoyed so far. They existed before this universe and will so after, they judge life, for better or worse.

I do have the feeling what happens here was rehashed and included in one of the novels (All Flesh Is Grass, I think).

It's a nice, but brief tale, does the job and leaves you wondering what will happen next. To be honest you might aswell read it if you're this interested.

This is available online by typing in the passowrd: DARKTIMES

James Goss starting us off is always a good sign, and this story, while short, is a great start to the event.

The imagery and intrigue pull you right in and definitely make you want to see more, and for how short the story is and how alien everyone is, the characterisation is still really good.

📝8/10 = VERY ENJOYABLE!

Time Lording through time and space, one victory at a time! This time: it's the beginning!

James Goss opens the Time Lord Victorious event with this short story, giving us a taste of the Dark Times and the death-bringing Kotturuh. It's a brief tale, but effectively sets up the main idea of an alien species travelling to every planet, assessing the value of the life forms on each planet and adjusting their lifespans accordingly.

This short story acts as a prelude to the Time lord victorious arc and sets up the Kotturuh's aim to bring the natural gift of death to the universe. I absolutely adore the way the Kotturuh are designed, they look so precise and regal. It's perfect for the bringers of death

TIME LORD VICTORIOUS: STORY 12

A slightly confusing opening to Time Lord Victorious, that's very heavy on description (unsure how I feel about that), but it succeeds in leaving you intrigued for the rest of the event!

This review contains spoilers!

They are such interesting creatures , creepy but very interesting. Deciding others life-spans? I love the concept

Compared to Lesser Evils, this is a little trite - it does little to add to the TLV lore.
