now that’s more like it! the story was so tense, and the characterisation was on point! had me gasping and feeling so squeamish at some of the descriptions of the bugs too. best book so far in the twelve x clara line of books

This was an enjoyable read, it's a relatively out-there story involving a village getting besieged by giant bugs. The villains turn out to be a race of intelligent scorpions from halfway across the universe using key lines. I thought it was well-written and a good story.
