Synopsis

In the Tower of Silent Memory upon the desert of High Remorse on Gallifrey, the Time Lord Bellator ascends, followed by the Twelfth General, to prepare for a ritual that will lead him to his final regeneration. Telling the Time Lords to hurry up because "I've heard this malarkey eleven times already", Bellator begins to regenerate, but something goes badly wrong. Part-way through the process, he ends up twisted and elongated, and collapses to the floor, dead, before dissolving in an orange puddle on the ground. A Time Lord soldier arrives to inform the General that all six regenerations that have taken place in the last hour have failed and led to the deaths of the people involved.

Not only the finale to the Twelfth Doctor comics but in a lot of ways the finale to the majority of the Magazine Comics as characters and events from all across the Magazine's history turn up for an epic adventure that sees the return to former ally turned enemy seeking revenge on the Doctor. We get a great chapter taking place in the Time War with a young War Doctor showing the terrible events that befell Fey and offers it's own take on how the War Doctor fully renounced his name. As is the case with a lot of these big event comics written by Scott Gray, he pulls no punches with gorgeous artwork to back up the writing with an epic battle between the Time Lords and the monsters inhabiting the Dreamspace and a bittersweet ending to Fey's character and Shayde. If you've followed the majority of the comics this is a great finale event.

A grandiose epic story, exploring the Time War, exploring the effect of travelling with the Doctor, and exploring this all in a well constructed epic story, with beautiful and ambitious art!

An Epic yet bittersweet Story. This being the final 12th Doctor Comic for the Doctor Who Magazine Comic is a brilliant Finale. I love how we get to see more of the Time War, it being a Comic, it allows it for some trippy colorful Visuals, which I doubt would be possible onscreen. This Story is filled with Characters and even Returns, which if you read previous DWM Comics from way back will put a Smile on your Face. And the last Page is just beautifuil ending on such a sweet wonderful Note!

I adore this one!
