There are always some Stories, which I categorize as 'very solid, but nothing more than that' and this is a Prime Example of such a Story. The first of the 10DAs is as straightforward as they come, which is not a bad Thing at all. Sometimes you'd want something very simple and straight to the Point, and that's exactly what you get. You love Series 4 and the pairing of 10 & Donna? Well you are in luck because this Story will deliver on that Front with an enjoyable, solid Story and great banter.

I think it does a great Job at recreating its Era and especially Tate gives it her all, Tennant is fine, but his Performance feels a bit uncertain here. Maybe because he isn't that used to the Medium of Audio compared to certain other Actors, but at times it feels like he is over playing it just a tiny bit. That's at least the Case for me with the first two 10DAs.

Still, if you love the Era that it's clearly placed in, I think you can't go that much wrong with it. Not a Story that personally does a lot for me, but a fun listen despite it all!

Technophobia - 5/10

I won't have a lot to say about this one I feel, I did enjoy it - I just didn't get into it as much as I thought I would I suppose

A friend suggested this story to me when I asked about good places to start big finish and so I listened. I was still very very new to big finish and really didn't know what to expect from a modern Doctors adventure.

Both Donna and the 10th Doctor do work in audio form but it took me a little while to get used to it I have to admit.

The plot was a super interesting concept and I think it worked well on audio, but my problem with this story is while the concept is good not enough was done with it - maybe its just the run time felt short and I expected more but either way the story did not grip me at all.

The setting was good with Donna experiencing it as a near future story works well with the whole evil technology themes throughout.

Overall Technophobia gets a 5/10 because to me it's just middle of the road not bad but not great - it was okay.

Lots of good banter between Ten and Donna. The story is pretty simple but it works well, entertaining to listen to.

This story which perfectly summons the feeling of Catherine Tate and David Tennent’s original era, with a perfectly matched tone and style. The idea of a developing “technophobia” amongst the human race is an interesting hook, which is well exploited, though I wish it resulted less in a general malfunctioning of the brain, which makes the alien menace a little less unique and specific.

I love these idiots so much it's unreal. It's so fun hearing them banter again.

Highlight of the audio was Donna having the time of her life destroying s**t with a bulldozer.
