This one is awesome and a little underrated. I've seen in other reviews this is just the Sixth Doctor's version of Paradise Towers, but even if that is true, it is a far superior version of that episode. Mel really gets to shine here, like how she communicates with the Doctor in clever ways through high scores on this little gamepad they find, which also allows Colin Baker to really shine in a fun and memorable way. She also showed a lot of clever traits throughout that feel really lacking from her show appearances. Some of the ultimate plot details near the ending with the whole monsters thing were a little rough in their reveal, and even some of the sound effects were a bit over-done, but I had a phenomenal time with this audio story nevertheless. I am a big Paradise Towers enjoyer, so the idea of Business and Economy being opposing factions trapped in a spaceport where nobody ever comes and goes does, obviously, appeal to me. This story also has a flavour of The Face of Evil, where the two factions share a common ancestor yet have evolved to grow wary of each other. Often, this kind of story tries to be a commentary on class politics and falls a little flat, but I felt that the machinations of Elder Bones were quite effective on that front here. I also liked the imagery of the Doctor and Mel bringing the summer - light and dark can work really well on audio when they're done well, and here I thought they were. Overall, I struggled to follow the plot in places, and I felt the Wailers were a little underwhelming and I was a little confused about the point of them, but the resolution of the episode is neat enough and it was a pretty enjoyable listen. I find Six and Mel to be a delightful pair on audio, and their communications via the medium of video game high scores here was hilarious. Like Liked 0
