A bit of an oddity this one. Again, it is told from the point of view of a supporting character with the Doctor, Steven and Vicki only appearing occasionally. It involves a tiny toy snowman that's come to life via some alien bacteria, but only the main character of the story can see (along with the Doctor and his companions). The snowman starts to grow in size until it's Mr Stay Puft dimensions.

The main thing I felt about this story was that the setting and plot didn't really fit with the era it is set in. As entertaining as it is to see the 1st Doctor acting as a grumpy department store Santa, and Steven as his agent (do Santa's have agents?) it just doesn't feel like Season 2/3. The climax with a gigantic snowman only 4 people can see terrorising a Christmas parade is remarkably silly, even for Doctor Who (and how it is causing trouble when no one can see it isn't really explained).

Not one to return to.
