Although, I don't think its as good as his usual BF work. While the story itself is super creepy, and interesting, it did feel like the ending was bit too techno babbly. That said, I'm enjoying the dynamic between the Doctor and Friend, as well as Cass and Alex. I do think though that if they don't reunite properly in the next story, then I don't know what's going to happen, I feel we need more answers on Friend and just what this is all about in the next story and if we don't then it'll be a lot for the final set to deal with. I liked the idea behind the monster using creepy nursery rhymes and both teams being in the same place but out of phase and having to somehow cooperate to overcome the situation, but I felt it lacked character progression and agency (up until the end they just wander around London finishing the rhymes, it made for cool ambiance but nothing more) and the resolution was somewhat anticlimactic. The identity of the creature was interesting but underdeveloped so it felt more like an afterthought (unless they show up next) For me this is the weakest of the three, it was really good though. Unless the Rhymonsters at the end will return, this story has very little bearing on the developments of this series, except maybe to make a case to Alex that the Doctor and Alex are very similar. This could be a massive drawback for this story Except that this story is a brilliant Time War story that would only work in the setup of this series, makes good use of all characters, is genuinely creepy and manages the atmosphere and pacing to perfection. Well played. It may not further the arc too much but it delivers on all other levels.
