Salvage is strongest when focusing on the dynamic between 8 and Bliss, and is fairly weak when attempting an abstract time war story, because the prose is not good enough to hold it up. I become lost in what’s physically happening in the story and am only brought back when it’s just 8 and Bliss talking in the TARDIS, or on her bed.
