A fine little FCBD affair, but this doesn't really do much for me.

Twelve reads a bit mean in this story which I wouldn't expect of a Season 9 Twelve... Then again, he's travelling on his own, could see this being just post Season 8. Even still though.

The art of the K2 robot is really fun, and I do love a good callback, but I think it's dispatched far too easily and there's not really any tension, it's hard to have any in a short like this, but that's why these stories often go for humour or something else, or devote more time to taking down the threat.

There just isn't much to grab me here beyond the 'Hey look it's that thing I recognise', which, to be fair, it is that thing I recognise, and that is fun, but that doesn't work on it's own.

Also Osgood says that the K1 incident was towards the beginning of his 'Third Incarnation'. Could read that as being because UNIT never met One, but at the very least the Brigadier met him in The Five Doctors, so it just feels like a really strangely out of character moment for Osgood.

Thworping through time and space, one adventure at a time!

“Robo Rampage: Osgood, the K1, and UNIT Chaos”

Robo Rampage delivers a short but entertaining romp, pairing the Twelfth Doctor with Osgood (or possibly her Zygon duplicate—it's delightfully ambiguous) as a temporary companion. The plot revolves around the return of the towering K1 robot from Robot, summoned back into action by UNIT’s overconfidence in controlling alien tech—a cheeky nod to their recurring hubris. Naturally, things go disastrously wrong.

Osgood shines as a brilliantly written Doctor super-fan, her dynamic with Twelve blending humour and admiration. The comic captures her character perfectly, making her a standout element of the story.

📝Verdict: 8/10

As a Free Comic Book Day offering, Robo Rampage is light, fast-paced, and enjoyable, proving that even short adventures can leave a lasting impression.

Robo Rampage was nice and brief, tying back to TV: Robot. But other than that, not much substance.

Reading these short form comedic comics makes me feel like a kid reading a Beano annual. They are fun and tightly written. Pairing the 12th Doctor, K1 and Osgood is a great flavour!

This comic has a very basic plot. The art is quite nice, but this is just not anything substantial. The plot is resolved quickly and quite unsatisfyingly. However, it was free.
