I confess that for a while I have been turning my nose up when faced with a Dalek story ahead, always expecting similar and repeated concepts and events, fortunately that is not the case with Patient Zero. This is the first of the three closing audios of Charley's Run with the 6th Doctor, we are close to knowing what the end point of all this problematic involving yet another Companion interference in time will be. The story begins with the Doctor aggressively asking Charley questions wanting to extract the secrets she hides – Then we see that she was seriously infected by a virus and had to spend years floating and resting in the famous "Zero Room" of the TARDIS we know there in "Castrovalva" debut arc of the 5th Doctor. Throughout the audio it is interesting to observe how the Doctor insists on believing that he will find his answers using his usual method, which is travelling through time. But little does he know that the answers are inside his TARDIS, there is someone hidden in it, someone who has been there for a very long time, who has observed a lot, who knows a lot, who would Mila be??... I'll stop here, it would be an absurd crime to release any other detail of this character, they are very strong spoilers that would ruin the listener's experience. After that, we are inserted into a quite brutal Dalek story, the evil salt shakers are looking for the so-called "Patient Zero" who extracted 100% of the capacity of a virus that will serve as a great contribution to their plans. It's an adventure with an atmosphere and airs of grandeur from start to finish being notable and interesting every minute, this through what it presents along with its exciting and bombastic events, indeed it has that tone of pre-season finale. Excellent, likely to be the best audio of this run and without a doubt one of the best of the 6th Doctor.
