Welcome Aboard Donna Noble

This story was a blast. I loved the whole idea of breeding an alien race made out of fat using weight loss pills. It's nice to have Donna back and travelling in the tardis now after she refused last time. Wilfred is a good character that leads the tenth doctor to his final battle (we will get into that at a later date). The reveal that Rose is returning is so exciting even though I never really liked Rose its gonna be nice to see ten and Rose back together again. Overall good series opener. 9/10

This episode is so entertaining with a million laugh out loud moments but it also has heart too and that’s what makes it perfect. The chemistry between Tennant and Tate is so natural and they pull off this silly story with style. I love it!!

Partners in Crime is always one of my favorite episodes to rewatch because it's brilliantly directed, Catherine Tate and David Tennant are hysterical, and it really sets up everything that happens over the course of season 4 and makes it so much more satisfying when everything wraps up.

RTD hit his stride with season 4 and this opener is no exception in my opinion.

I have a lot of love and affection for Partners in Crime, but recognize that rests almost entirely on the charisma and chemisty of Tennant and Tate. Their scenes leading up to and including their reunion are some of 10's best, in my opinion. It is so easy to remember and focus on these scenes and this aspect of the episode that it is easy to forget this is also the episode with the Adipose.

I don't know what this episode was trying to say about weight or weight loss, but it can't be healthy. It sours the effects, score, and features a lot of rough performances along the way. It's still an essential start to one of the best runs of Doctor Who episodes, and I have a ton of happy memories around the start of the Doctor and Donna, but yeah, I can't pretend these flaws aren't there, either.

(Wilf is packing up for the night when he sees the TARDIS flying nearby.)

WILF: There! Donna, it's, it's the flying blue box!

(He looks through his telescope and sees Donna waving from the TARDIS door.)

WILF: What? That's Donna. Yeah, that's Donna.

(The Doctor waves, too.)

WILF: And that's him. That's him. Hey, that's him! Ha, ha, ha! Go on, gal! Go on, get up there! Hey!
