I have to say this is pretty good!

Davros gets up one day says hello to his wife - a Thal. They have spent much time creating a porthole all is going great until they meet the Doctor...

It is one of those stories where it take a little time to find out whats going on. Its an alternative dimension, the Doctor and Bliss arrived through the porthole but so have the Daleks - to wreak havoc on a new and unsuspecting universe. What adds to the interest is that Davros dies.. but wakes up again on the previous day - its a twist of the groundhog time loop (if you can find the original 12.01 short it was based on it worth a watch). It does do that thing of learning what happened, to change events, but its not repetitive in the way that these types of stories can be.

The Doctor and Bliis are seconday characters here with Davros in the lead role, and you have to hand it to Terry Malloy his ordinary voice and his post accident evil Davros voices are quite different. We find out about life on Skaro where the two races are at peace and a little of how Davros could have been.

Its a good adventure, kept me interested and I'm looking forward to the next.

John Dorny starts Eighth Doctor Time War 4 with a banger. This story uses the Timey Wimey aspect of The Time War well. Palindrome follows Davros, or a Davros from another reality who's experiencing tragedy after tragedy, and all of it surrounding The Doctor, Bliss, and The Daleks. Without giving too much away, I have to say I enjoyed this story; It was very much action-packed, engaging, and very unique. I never thought I would get a glimpse into another reality and another Skaro. Davros was the perfect protagonist for this story, and Terry Molloy was just perfect as always as Davros. 8.5/10
