Oblivion sees more solid character work and a satisfying exit for Izzy. I especially liked the beautiful two page spread which captures the internal moments of Desrii and Izzy before they finally return to their own bodies. It is amazing to me that this long awaited transformation was years in the making for DWM. The cursed posh people who have been turned into animals interestingly resemble a lot of creatures from the new series and Torchwood. People with fish heads, bird heads, cat heads and dog heads. Izzy shares a same sex kiss - no small feat for the 1990s but it feels “right” that Doctor Who was being progressive even then. 15thDoctor View profile Like Liked 0
