Synopsis

Xana is a fugitive on the run. Desperation takes her to Earth, the galaxy's fabled sanctuary. But when a primordial entity begins to emerge, nowhere is safe. She crosses paths with SIGNET, a freelance organisation offering refuge to aliens and humans under threat. To survive she must place her trust in SIGNET, but for Xana trust has never come easy. Can she learn to overcome the trauma of her past, or will the Yssgaroth take them all?

Solid story! I think some of the pathos was a little overly dramatic, and one plot beat kinda came out of nowhere and was dropped as quickly as it showed up, but I enjoyed all the characters (Olivia is my favorite) and was interested by the plot.

The audiobook I listened to isn’t necessarily professional quality, but given the resources available to Arcbeatle, I don’t mind that fact all too much. It was actually better in that area than I was nervous it might be
