Hmm, I'm not sure how I feel about this one. The Dark Gallifrey series has generally been really consistently strong so far (asides from the endings...) but this premiere didn't quite reach the highs of the other premieres. Missy was great throughout, I'd say she was better here than the last sets of hers (which garnered lots of criticism, and valid ones at that). I didn't find myself particularly caring for either of the characters she spent the episode with, they were just kind of there for me really and I didn't care either way if they survived. The timeline placement for this is quite interesting, as it insinuates that there may have been no actual 'plan' following The Witches Familiar ending. Overall, an okay premiere into this trilogy.
