This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order. Previous Story: The Winged Coven What a shame that Mary Tammy was unable to be in this as it would have been great. Instead we have Juliet Landau as Romana III filling in instead. The story itself is the ending to the Quadrigger Stoyn arc and I think it does this remarkably well. Terry Molloy as the aforementioned Quadrigger is absolutely brilliant, he toes the line between insanity and level-headed vengefulness perfectly. The story itself is good fun, with both narrators having a good Tom Baker impression and generally bringing the story to life quite well. The way it all unfolds is brilliantly timey-wimey. I really like stories that deal with the consequences of the Doctor's actions and this arc is a perfect example of his capability to turn random people into dangerous enemies. In terms of the extended timeline, this is a strange one. This comes right after Nest Cottage which is an odd patch in the timeline as it doesn't feature Romana or K9. This is the only place that it can be placed due to the Doctor's references however. Next Story: The Beast of Kravenos Extended Timeline Season 17 Review: 10/10 This is easily my favourite season yet, from the phenomenal TV stories, to the absolute masterpiece that is Series 5 of the 4DAs, and the wonderfully charming Nest Cottage Chronicles. There is a strange blip where Romana and K9 disappear but as previously stated there isn't anywhere else you can put these stories. My little headcanon is gonna be that Nest Cottage takes place in a forked timeline where Romana left. Onwards to Season 18 as we dive fully into the 80s. Like Liked 3
