It’s a Justin Richards-penned tale about the Ice Warriors attacking Christmas (the town on Trenzalore that the Doctor is protecting during The Time of the Doctor). To say too much about it would spoil it as it is a story which relies on surprise, but this isn’t its only good point. The Ice Warriors are written really well and continue the strong tradition of honourable yet vicious warriors. Also, on a planet of snow, an Ice Warrior story is a bit of a no-brainer. The 11th Doctor is great and it is remarkably easy to hear Smith’s voice speaking the dialogue and picture him twirling and whirling around the Warriors, plotting their eventual defeat. deltaandthebannermen View profile Like Liked 0
