ROMANA: Of course. Of all the TARDISes in all of space and time, I had to go materialize in yours.

BRAXIATEL: It’s good to see you too, Romana. Now, shall we begin?

ROMANA: She may be old, but I’m certain this TARDIS is still reliable. Aren’t you old girl?

NARVIN: Well Narvin. As I believe the humans put it – here’s another fine mess you’ve gotten yourself into.

NARVIN: I think I’m beginning to see what it is about your people that interests mine so much. I wonder if there was ever a time when the people of Gallifrey wore animal hides and ran at one another with spears? If there was, it was never written about. And that I suppose is your tragedy. Nothing that you say or do will be remembered. There’ll be traces but little else.

MIN: I thought he might be some woodland sprite but he’s a little on the tall side for a sprite.

SOL: We can always cut him open. Sprites have neither guts nor gizzards.

NARVIN: Right. Well first of all there are no such things as sprites. Not on this world anyways. Secondly, there must be some other way we can resolve this without any bloodshed.

NARVIN: I’ve often wondered what it is about humans, besides their passing resemblance to us, that other Time Lords find so fascinating. Oh, don’t get me wrong; they are gifted with occasional flashes of genius and they can make for very fine warriors, but… well let’s just say, they aren’t the most sophisticated of species.

ROMANA: And you saw fit to keep this from me? You are my advisor, Narvin, but more than that, you were supposed to be my friend.

LUKAS: Narvin’s making his way across the square accompanied by two agents. I must say, his average day’s even more boring than mine. Not that I find working for your boring, of course ma’am. I just well meant that if Coordinator Narvin is up to anything, he’s doing a very good job at hiding it. Might edit that bit out…

ROMANA: Oh I hope you’re wrong, Taurus. Ace and I having both travelled with the Doctor, we have a common bond. One that’s difficult, almost impossible to explain to others. There’s so few of us in the universe who would understand it. If she has betrayed us - betrayed me, it would break my hearts.

ROMANA: You are hardly in any position to lecture us on damaging the Web of Time, Coordinator.

NARVIN: Lady President, I- I- thought-

ROMANA: That we had put all of that behind us? These things can be forgiven, Narvin. They can never be forgotten.

REX: It’s a stellar manipulator.

ACE: What like the Hand of Omega?

REX: Not like the Hand of Omega. It is the Hand of Omega.

NARVIN: I preferred it when we didn’t play games.

ROMANA: I don’t do games, Narvin. I do what I can for my planet and my people and the universe if I am able. But I do not play games.

NARVIN: I require a word with the Lady President as a matter of urgency. Several words in fact. And I am, as we speak, already on my way to see her. When I arrive at the Presidential office, I shall be admitted to her private rooms where the President will of course already be expecting me. There, we shall talk. In private. Securely and without delay. That’s not much to ask, is it?

ACE: I know I’m not the same person I was when I first came to Gallifrey. I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. Only that it’s different. I’m different. Which is appropriate in a way. Because that’s what we do on Gallifrey. We make a difference.
