The Thirteenth Doctor #22

'Hidden Human History' (2019) from Titan Comics.

A pretty standard Thirteenth Doctor era story, with a simple little monster and some fun podcast-related antics in the mix as well. I just am really loving the way that the Fam are written in all of these 13EU stories. They're such a great bunch, always so well understood and represented. The connections in this story to A New Beginning, were nice (I'm glad I re-read that story beforehand as it's been a little while), and those characters show The Doctor's distaste yet acceptance of potentially-dangerous institutions to come through nicely as per usual.

I like this more than the first one, but I still wasn't super able to get into it. There was a nice backbone to the story, though, and I really liked how it ended.
Too quippy, though.
B. Maybe C.

Loved the cameo from Irene and Leon, made it feel really nicely connected. The idea behind this was really unique and I loved how it panned out, I really didn't expect the creature to be behind the podcast! Lovely story!
