I really enjoyed Passion and Vienna together in this episode, and even though I've only heard Vienna in these stories I can appreciate her development. Their relationship is lovely, and I really would love to hear more of this pair together in future, whether its here or elsewhere. Eight's cameo was MUCH less than I expected, acting as a get out of jail free card. Still, hearing him with the Movie Master once again is just fab, I love the pair of them so much. Curious as to where things will go with the Master if we get more in this series! Nonetheless, at least we have his Dark Gallifrey to look forward to!

Overall, I think I'd probably call Planet Doom the weakest of the three Master! volumes. Though still fun! The vibe of these sets are different from anything else Doctor Who, and I respect them for that.

I’ve been sleepwalking my way through season 2 and 3 of this range. I liked the first one well enough but since then it’s the most uninteresting sludge that BF put out. I had to be really really high before I could finally appreciate an episode, but I have to say, I’m happy with this one. They gave me my McGann cameo, and then they gave Vienna and Passion a sweet send off, and then we got a cliffhanger teasing camp fun with this incarnation of the master.

Unless the quality of the writing and performances get better, nothing will, but Vienna getting written out was 100% necessary and it felt great and paid off her entire arc with both Passion and the Master.
