Boo Cook smashes it yet again. The plot here is fine, but this story is really just a bunch of exposition and explanation for the ongoing arc. It's nice to finally have some of this explained, although it doesn't make for the most interesting plot ever. Having said that, the core concept here is cool and clever. Interesting to see the Talent Scout and ARC’s origins, but the main thing is the art style and the format screw they do. The 10th Doctor comics did a good job at showing what Doctor Who would look like as a comic, mostly the same as the show but doing a few things they wouldn’t be able to like the notebook sections. The 11th Doctor comics on the other hand really play with the medium and do things that you couldn’t do in any other format. Almost reminds me of 11’s era a bit, playing around with a bit more high concept sci-fi in a fun way, it’s just a shame the story isn’t really much better JayPea View profile Like Liked 1 25 June 2025 · 83 words Review by RandomJoke While quite gimmicky, the Art is striking. I love how this one plays with colors, the Story itself isn’t much to write home about, but I do think it being on the shorter end of the stick helps this one to thrive. I really think this one and the ones after that show that the Team behind it have learnt how to play with Length, it feels perfectly formatted for its few 20 Pages. It's a great showcase for playing around with its Medium. RandomJoke View profile Like Liked 0 22 February 2025 · 77 words Review by mysticarcanum Spoilers This review contains spoilers! It's not a plot heavy issue, but manages to take a necessary beat of rest and reassessment in the narrative and turn it into a brilliantly constructed four-part interwoven narrative. It's an inspiring use of the medium, and the use of colour for each individual's time stream, which combine as they interact, is incredibly clever. It's fun time and space shenanigans, some low-stakes lore drops, emotional development for the characters, and amazing visuals. What could be better? mysticarcanum View profile Like Liked 0
