The plot was fine, probably. I wasn't here for any of that I just know Hull and wanted to see (well, hear) it in Doctor Who. And yknow what? Funny as hell. Shining blues of the the River Humber indeed

This review contains spoilers!

The heart of this story is Jackie’s spirited defence against classist attitudes directed towards people like her—working-class single mothers. Hearing her hit back against the alternative universe’s middle-class Jackie is almost the entirety of this Short Trip.

Other than that, the story itself isn’t particularly compelling beyond this central theme. It’s not especially memorable, but it does succeed in providing a delightful half-hour in Jackie Tyler’s company. It also pairs nicely with the previous Short Trips story featuring Jackie, offering another glimpse into her new life.
