The Doctor and Romana arrive in an English village. A local, Millicent Ferril, has an Observatory and there's an alien presence at large. The narration is shared between the two cast members, which means that while you're getting used to Mary Tamms' 4th Doctor impression, it then switched to Madeleine Potters 4th Doctor impression, not a big deal in itself, but I don't think it helped. The alien presence that takes over Lady Ferri, has an affinity with metal, so the Doctor and Romana get in some scrapes. Its a fairly tipical Doctor who plot, and not a lot really happens. There's nothing inherently bad about this story, but its not particularly memorable. I didn't care about it and (other than Mary Tamm) there's no incentive to relisten to it. Previous Story: The Stones of Blood Well that was decent, not great but by no means a story I didn't enjoy. It was well performed with a fairly good villain. It was fairly dark with a vivid descriptions of certain characters getting killed, though not distractingly so. I enjoyed the way they stuck to the Season 16 format with the Key to Time. Fairly good story but standing it against other companion chronicles it's quite generic, it's nothing to write home about. Next Story: The Androids of Tara Like Liked 0
