Synopsis

In a departure from the usual format, this story moves away from the concurrent Thirteenth Doctor in favour of focusing on and being set in the continuity of the theatrical films, starring Peter Cushing's Dr. Who and Roberta Tovey's portrayal of Susan. It was the first such strip to star these characters since Daleks Versus the Martians, twenty-six years earlier, and the second overall in the history of DWM (discounting parody strips).

A cute little side step into the Cushing Doctor, this is an enjoyable, if brief and quite rushed single issue comic. The art is lovely and it's a joy to see this incarnation in an adventure, and the idea of the mechonoids is appropriate for this Doctor to encounter.

Just far too rushed, but managed to capture some of the charm of the Cushing movies.

The Cushing Doctor is such an Oddity in the World of Who, yet I always love seeing something relating to him, which is no different with this Comic! The Art is quite nice, and it's a lovely Idea of him meeting the Mechanoids. Yet I must admit the Story feels less fleshed out than it could have had, which sadly makes me rank it below than I would have wanted.

It's still an enjoyable quick read nonetheless. Hope DWM is able to do more Comics featuring the Cushing Doctor every once in a while!

I haven't seen the Cushing movies, so this was fun to get a little look into their weirdness. My main complaint with this comic is that it is far too rushed, I think it could've benefited from there being two parts as things happen quite fast. Still, fun idea to have the Cushing Doctor meet the Mechanoids. No major complaints, but nothing special.
