It's fine. It's certainly the best written Probe Case Files so far, and yet it isn't the most entertaining. Nice to see other Actors, I do think the Actress who played Gemma did a solid Job, and even Baggs wasn't all that bad. Don't get me wrong, he still isn't a good Actor, but the last two Case Files at least feel like he gives a blank about his acting a little more.

The Story itself is fine, you can tell it has been rewritten.

Well uhh what else is there to say.. uhh Box was there! So that's cool, I guess. Really, it's not one I can easily digest like many of the other ones.

The only genuinely just about decent PROBE case file, saved by the length+genuinely good writer combo, but then the rating crashes again due to the (predictably) terrible acting. Genuinely decent plot until the obvious Baggs-ism at the end (which thankfully is only the last couple minutes, but, the bad Baggs acting does also really ruin this one). The music was really really really appropriate??? Which I was. Not Expecting. Good writing, bad... everything else that BBV is infamous for.

BOX MY BELOVEDDDD  :D

I very much liked this and have very little negative to say. Gemma's a blast, and she brings out a semblance of good acting in Baggs. Not much, but a semblance. The script helps and there's actual atmosphere. There's a good plot! I had a phenomenal time, and if it wasn't for the pathetic camera work, this would be a legitimate reccomendation.

No score on this because I wrote it. I'm sort of proud of it.

Deadwood is... well, it's fine.

To be completely honest, deadwood feels like what the Case Files should have been from the start of things. Honest to god short films which, sure, aren't anything to write home about, but you can feel the appeal, fan-films born out of a love of the series and a desire to have fun with it, rather than push to put content out to get money and stay relevant.

That all said, because it's coming after the other case files, where it is so clear that they're not just made for the joy of it, it just doesn't work for me as well as it should.

Watching this story, as much as I'd love to be coming at it from the perspective of it being a fan film, seeing the fun that people are having, laughing with it at moments that are unintentionally funny, I'm coming at it from the perspective of it being a case file. I'm not laughing with the story when things are off, I'm laughing at it, I don't see the actors having fun, I see Baggs wanting to get paid. There's a whole four actors in this thing, and unlike other fan films where I wouldn't give a second thought to that, I'm shocked that Baggs actually (hopefully) paid three other people to be in this.

The plot itself is fine, nothing to write home about, but there's some nice nods to history, and I can appreciate what it's going for, but that's kind if where my appreciation ends.

I think when you have more to say about everything surrounding the story than the text of the story itself, there's a problem, and unfortunately all I can think to talk about with the case files is the real world 'story' surrounding them.

I actually enjoyed this. Having more than just Giles talking to the camera goes a long way, and having other characters is a move in the right direction. Gemma was alright, and the plot was intriguing. I really do love when shows tap in to the Roanoke mystery so it was right up my street.
