K9 does really only seem to have two plots: Something comes through the portal and causes chaos, and everyone doubts K9 because something happens and he can't remember his past. I'm being a little reductive there, some don't quite fit into those categories but most most of them do, and while the first of those can have a lot of different twists, the latter.... doesn't. How much can we really doubt K9 when this keeps happening and keeps being proven good, this is the third time it's happened in 6 episodes and while it was kind of fun the first time, and I think done pretty well the second, the third time....... Even the admittedly pretty fun costuming, makeup, and set design can't make up for doing this **again**. 3/10 Like Liked 1 16 September 2024 · 189 words Review by MrColdStream Spoilers 1 This review contains spoilers! 5️⃣⏹️ = MIDDLING! Barking through time and space, one adventure at a time! “IS THAT YOU, SUTEKH?!” The title sounds promising, and the episode opens with space stuff, which seems nice! Stargazing in the night! Robomen hunting our heroes! This is good stuff! K9 bumping into the spaceship's forcefield with an audible thud made me giggle. The plot is K9-focused, with the visiting Anubis aliens (they look silly, but are kind of Doctor Who-y) being old mates with the tin dog. They are some of the more well-rounded aliens we’ve seen so far. Their plan to take over the world goes nowhere, but at least they form more of a threat than any of the earlier foes. The Egyptian stuff is perhaps a bit too much, even if the costumes look funny (Dull Professor rocks a new, cool look!). I had hoped for a bit more action from this one, but they hardly do anything with the premise. The Annoying Kid’s car performs the most underwhelming knockout I've ever seen. And Annoying Boy himself steps up to do some good for once. Like Liked 1 24 April 2024 · 93 words Review by 15thDoctor Spoilers 2 This review contains spoilers! The production values on this one, for the time in which it was made are about as woeful as it gets, but there is a brilliantly camp premise which is hilariously realised. Again, well observed children’s TV. When Egyptian gods sneak their way into K9 and the professor’s consciousness, it leaves the rest of the gang wondering why they are acting so differently. Cue more and more of the cast acting like Egyptian nobles until the whole thing is reset with the press of a button. Another courtesy of Jim Noble. Like Liked 2 Open in new window Statistics AVG.
