That was it? That was it? That was it?! I know that this series got cut short, which sucks, but that was it? That was our resolution to Stacy being a shapeshifter? The Doctor throws a convenient switch, and it's revealed? We ended on a cliffhanger, only to lead into that? TBH, I think I would've preferred if Perceptions was 12 parts long, and these two got absorbed into it. I would love to see more of Stacy and Ssard, since they're very much blank slates. Not to mention, maybe an eventual return to Mars, and what would have happened if this strip wasn't cut short?

It's a shame this was cut short. Love a non-human companion. Love the horse aliens, too. Would have loved to read this all the way through the 60 planned parts

This review contains spoilers!

It's quite pathetic, and Russell himself admitted it. I can't blame him, because all the circumstances were against him.

The doctor quickly figures out that the fake Stacey is actually a fake. It looks very hasty, given that there are only 12 panels in the entire code, but it's not surprising. It turns out that the sinister shapers want to get home. When the Doctor asks them why they didn't just ask for a lift, they openly aggress him and say that they're going to take over the Earth one day anyway. To which the Doctor gives a standard speech about not even thinking about it, because I'm defending this planet.

In general, it's very clear that these two parts were written very hastily and the sequel was planned to be completely different. The ending is just for show and it's very sad that it happened.
