I was expecting something actually involving Dickens, but was instead met with a page-long dig at the Trial of a Time Lord. This seems such a random choice, and the whole thing just feels like an excuse for Morris to complain about the Trial. The 'A Christmas Carol' theme was fun, and I found the phrase "obscene vegetable monsters with northern accents" utterly delightful, but otherwise thought this story a waste of time.
