Synopsis

Wrenched from her digital afterlife in the Library, River Song finds herself on sixty-first century Earth, resurrected in a clone body. Billionaire tech mogul Garrison Clay has a mystery to solve, and he's selected River as the person to solve it.

Armed with only her sonic screwdriver and a fake ID, River heads out into a world soon to be ravaged by solar flares... where danger stalks her at every turn.

This is the final part of a 4 part story.

👍🏼7/10 = Good!

Thworping through time and space, one adventure at a time!

The last part of the set ties the story arc together as the remaining humanity prepares for the apocalypse. River's body is running thin, and she and Sam are being interrogated as terrorists while they try to warn the people about Clay's plan to wipe everyone out.

The religious allegories that have run through the set come to a tee here, with Noah's arc plot (similar to the one in Invasion of the Dinosaurs) and Clay's religious fanatics finally completing their mission in the name of faith.

The story is tightly linked to Ark in Space and a prequel to it.

This one picks up the pace again and the tension as time runs out for everyone.

Vira and Noah join the cast in major supporting roles (and are mostly used to discuss the ethical implications of saving the select few in an apocalypse), while River and Sam take more of a backseat role until the last third.

Garrison Clay shows his true colours and is delightfully evil. His henchman, Daster, is also put to good use.

The set concludes neatly, but not very excitingly.

what a wonderful epilogue to rivers death from the library two parter. whilst a story that wasn't needed, it was a story worth telling. i do hope this is the last post-death content we get from river, as it was a very nice touching story. the ending was phenomenal and i cried.
