Probably my favorite Story out of the Series, really, it’s just good fun! We get the best 60s Tardis Team having a low stakes Adventures filled with some lovely reference all around. I think they somehow nailed 2 here, while of course it’s not as close as Throughton on TV of course, but damn for a Print Media they did very well. I love the references in this story, and that's just the start! This really is just a love letter to Doctor Who, so many references that you're bound to miss loads. I absolutely love the wide shots, so many alien races in there from Slitheen to Sontarans to Alpha Centauri! So many references to all sides of the universe, you've got to love a Happiness Patrol pink TARDIS in the back at the very least! And then the story itself doesn't disappoint either, it's fairly simple but there's heart to it. The enslaved people having no hope anymore as they've been captured, too beaten down to rise up even when Two frees them initially, but being shown the way by the Ice Warriors assistance. I also love how the TARDIS team are utilised here, Two is definitely the head, but Zoe gets to unlock a door and show off her future knowledge a bit, and Jamie makes for some wonderful bait! All in all, just such a fun story JayPea View profile Like Liked 2 Open in new window Statistics AVG. Rating30 members 3.80 / 5 GoodReads AVG.
