RACHEL: This is a message for Sir Tobias Kinsella, from Doctor Rachel Jensen. This is the sound of me tearing up that contract you had me sign. You can take your copy of the contract and do the same. I have never met a man more scheming, calculating and controlling. In the execution of your duties, I find you to be false, wheedling, and manipulative. In short, an absolute--

TOBY: I don't think we need to hear any more of this part.

ALLISON: Did you see his face? Like a wounded puppy. I've never seen him like that before.

RACHEL: I have, fairly recently. He's still a bit... tetchy with me.

ALLISON: Well, you did whisk his own taskforce away from him.

IAN: I've been very fortunate in the company I keep. And in my superior officers.

JULIAN: I didn't want to hold you back. I know how much you respect Doctor Jensen, want to be like her. We all have our fears, our weaknessess. But you are the strongest willed person I know. You can beat this.

ALLISON: I can?

JULIAN: I love you. And I'll prove it to you.

ALLISON: What are you doing? Get up!

JULIAN: I saw what you wrote, in pastel pink lipstick across my wardrobe: why don't you love me enough?

ALLISON: What? I don't remember...

JULIAN: But you are good enough. Good enough for Jensen, good enough for me. Too good, in fact. But it won't stop me asking. If you'll have me, Allison Williams, will you marry me.

ALLISON: Julian!

JULIAN: If the answer's yes, I'm hoping you'll put the gun down.

ALLISON: So, was he sweet on you, old Broderick? Always came across as a mad old buffer in Cambridge.

RACHEL: Don't! Ugh! The very thought makes my skin crawl. I don't think I could bear to be in the same room as that man.

ALLISON: But you spent years together at Cambridge.

RACHEL: Exactly

ALLISON: All Julian's research students, they adore him you know. Does he even want me? Or is it just that I'm there?

RACHEL: I know all about being taken for granted

RACHEL: But it's Broderick's machine, I don't know if I can shut it down.

IAN: That's enough, Doctor Jensen. You are my commanding officer, and I will not be led by indecision.

RACHEL: Ian, I... um... I don't know.

IAN: You can do this, of course you can. You're a scientist, a pragmatist, and a courageous woman to boot. You're brilliant. You're the right person to be leading us, I know this. I've always known.

RACHEL: Unreliable, untrustworthy men!

— Rachel Jensen, Artificial Intelligence

RACHEL: Thanks for your vote of confidence, Ian.

IAN: I meant it.

RACHEL: Come on.

IAN: Just one thing. My commanding officer doesn't usually grip my hand quite so tightly.
