This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order. Previous Story: Paradoxicide Another mediocre story. It seemed somewhat interesting at first, with the Doctor and Peri seeming not to recognise each other, both in an unfamiliar location. Unfortunately this was quickly (and generically) explained as Peri being trapped in some sleazy businessman's "dream machine" or whatever it was called. The Doctor still remembered her and was in fact trying to rescue her from the machine. The plot devolves quickly and the story somehow manages to be some of the most padded 40 minutes I've ever listened to. The Doctor rescues Peri, only to get trapped himself. So now Peri has to go back and rescue him. Then they both escape and the machine explodes in a moment that seems like it was intended to be sad. If the final story doesn't save this set, this will manage to be the most consistently middling anthology I've ever listened to. Next Story: Question Marks Like Liked 0
