Ian discovers hundreds of massive diamonds on a planet but the Doctor tells him they are worthless and besides, if they take them in the TARDIS, they would disappear!  A function of the TARDIS which seems rather worrisome especially when the next story, The Prehistoric Monster, is taken into consideration.  A cautionary yet dull story about greed.
