Not bad as far as Dalek stories go. I'll start with the good bits; we're flung right into the action, the Daleks are established and there's no question who they are. This avoids all the usual boring cliffhanger reveals. It's also a fairly unique concept for a Dalek story, they aren't trying to invade the universe or blow up the world or anything.

I found it hard to picture Warfleet. This is supposed to be set sometime in the 80s and they're playing a game that can do that much? The whole gaming concept was just a bit weird in general. It feels very out of character for the Daleks although that might just be because they're rarely written with a shred of originality.

Overall it's a bit generic but it nails the vibe it's going for and it avoids the usual pitfalls of a Dalek story so I have to give it that.
