Review of Vampire of the Mind by thedefinitearticle63

This is part of a series of reviews of Doctor Who in chronological timeline order.

Previous Story: Urgent Calls

This story is pretty standard and fairly cliché but I can't help but enjoy it. This is mainly down to Alex Macqueen's fantastic portrayal of the Master. This is my first story with him and it's already sold him as a definitive incarnation of the Master. He plays off Colin Baker really well in this story aswell. It was a decently dark story, the scientists being turned into mindless zombies and the man walking into the sea at the end stand out as fairly horrifying moments, just in time for Halloween. Other than that it was fairly predictable and had a weird tendency to over-reference past TV stories that sort of took you out of the story for a bit. Overall, it's nothing revolutionary but it is a lot of fun.
