I just don't get it. For a cast this interesting and for a combination of characters this fun, I really expected to enjoy myself a lot more than I did.
The biggest issue is definitely that we have the fun of the Ninth Doctor, the Lumiat, the main Unbound Doctor, and Liv all in one story, yet they spend a lot of time split up with each other. There isn't a lot of fun interactions here besides a couple of fun moments between Nine and the Lumiat.
Additionally, the whole idea of the Time Lord Immemorial sounded very fun as a concept, but completely underdeveloped and not fully explored as an idea this big should be. I'm a sucker for legends and myths in Time Lord culture, so I would very easily enjoy a story like this if it did ANYTHING with the concept.
It doesn't help that this is one of those audios that really highlights how none of these characters can even remember these stories because they mess with continuity so badly. I feel like the better chapters of Once and Future skirt around that while Time Lord Immemorial accidentally just highlights how pointless this anniversary special feels at times. There's some fun scenes here and there but overall it just doesn't come together as a satisfying narrative.
