Previous Story: A Town Called Fortune
I'm gonna need a flowchart. I'm like 70% sure I understand what actually happened here, I'm definitely not going to try and explain though. This is an absolutely bonkers story but it's great fun. It is quite hard to follow due to the fact there are two Doctors and two Mels active in the story, but they do a good enough job of explaining which is which everytime it comes up without taking you out of the story too much.
I think this story is a bit too dedicated to the timey-wimey shenanigans regarding Mel to the point that it sort of forgets to have an interesting story. There's some sort of "time vampire" behind all this which just feels like a lazy way out. I do like the character development for 6 here, his sadness at Evelyn's departure at the beginning was quite nice and being forced to deal with his past self was a great way to highlight how much he's changed. Overall, I think it's a pretty good story but you have to give it 100% attention or you'll get lost very quickly.
