Part One
3/5
It’s fun to see manipulative Daleks again and they seem to be operating without Davros as well, which didn’t happen in the later classic era. Although the actual plot itself isn’t all that interesting.
Part Two
2.5/5
This is a pretty dull Dalek story. I mean it feels so derivative of other stories we have seen before with the Daleks and a lot of its unique elements just feel out of place. Also I just don’t think Dalek action scenes work all that well in audio form as hearing gun shots and Dalek lasers for like 15 seconds straight doesn’t really explain what is happening.
Part Three
The Shakespeare stuff is so incredibly out of place and really not at all interesting. Like I feel like you can do a story about Shakespeare being taken out of time or a Dalek story but not both at the same time as they are just such clashing concepts. Glad to see an explanation for the Dalek voices in Seasons of Fear, it’s cool that things from these last few releases are tying together so much.
Part Four
The greater focus on the Daleks actual plan of ruling time made this part more enjoyable. I also like the continued issues that the Doctor is facing in regard to saving Charley from her fate in Storm Warning.
