I LOVED the setting, this planet with two intertwining timelines (one where people starve, one where people are infected by blighted crops) and Alex and the Doctor competing with each other to try and save the world in their own way.

Then there's Cass who, in full Dune style, gets prescience and is the actual saviour. I love that they are sticking with it at the end of the story, it opens up so many possibilities and as a big Frank Herbert fan and specially God Emperor of Dune I couldn't be more excited for what is to come. (If they do make it work is another thing)
