There’s tonnes of imagination on display in the concepts presented, but this didn’t result in a particularly satisfying plot. The imaginative concepts are not grounded in anything that gives them a dramatic weight, so the story just kind of wanders.

I also struggled to imagine the sing-song aliens actually crooning any of their heavy exposition. Some of their “lyrics” were utterly absurd!
