Some really clever ideas, like the Shadow Squad itself and that ending with family but I’m sorry so much is so badly written. So much dialogue feels really unnatural. I don’t feel like I’m listening to the characters talking to each other, but like they are specifically talking to make me understand the story. That might not be the writing necessarily though. It could also be the stilted acting. I suppose as always it’s a bit of both that doesn’t gel well with me. The time loop ending is also a bit weak in my opinion, and for the conclusion to be “oh none of the 50 minutes you just listened to happened anymore” to come so suddenly came to me as a bit cheap too. I’m definitely rambling here so might as well ramble some more positive points. The Dalek that exists across all timelines is a pretty cool concept. The beginning is very intriguing and well done. So like lots of great ideas, but the way it comes across doesn’t really work for me.
