Review of The Road Untravelled by MarkOfGilead19

This review contains spoilers!

I'm in awe with this story for having such imaginative sci-fi concepts and for being able to juggle them perfectly while making a fascinating story with the characters and their development at their core.

The void, the Reflected (I loved the 8th Doctor paraphrasing Nietzsche and his famous quote, it felt so eerie), the Sinsa with her time-sensitive powers acting as a radar, the Eternal-like ship made of wood... Each one of them would have been enough in order to make a standard story interesting, but Tim Foley just had to put them all together and actually make it all work, hats off!

Friend and Alex are also outstanding here and Cass' cliffhanger was as good as I remembered.

If they do exist I hope the Reflected are explored further in another box set, as they were my favourite concept introduced in this story. A reflection of the ship you are on, with alternate versions of those on board, that mimicks everything the original ship does and that, if capable of getting away from the void, will become the original version forcing the rest out of existence. Yeah, amazing.

Are we back to 8th and Charlie levels of experimental stories? I hope the next boxset, Pursuit, truly delivers on that.
