I very much enjoyed this serial. Ian, Barbara and the Doctor are really starting to feel like a cohesive team, and I immediately love Vicki. Her story is so sad, yet she’s still optimistic and cheerful at times. She fills Susan’s role in a way that doesn’t feel as though she’s replacing her, and the Doctor makes that clear as well by the way he starts to take care of her. The one drawback to this story is how quickly the plot resolves itself. I wish there would have been more time to discover the murder cover-ups and for the Doctor to face Bennett. But I really did enjoy this serial, so it gets a 4 out of 5.
