In an effort to experience missing episodes, the BBC has released the surviving audios with narration. This one being narrated by Anneke Wills.
Now naturally Power of the Daleks is one of Troughtons best stories and the production work on the soundtrack is very professional, but I'm not sure if these audios are for me.
While there's a lot of detail that comes through with the narration, I also find it hard to focus on what's going on without images. Perhaps because the episode was made to be seen, or because I have adhd, I found my mind zoning in and out; even when only listening to one episode at a time and trying to do things while it plays in the background so that I'm not distracted. (Yes, I get more distracted just sitting and doing nothing while listening to audio...blame the ADD)
I'm glad to have given it a proper try, but from now on I'll probably stick to retcons and animations.
